SOLA: An Evening of Solo Dances by Women
DanceUSF faculty members Andee Scott and Bliss Kohlmyer are performing SOLA as a part of the Sarasolo Festival in Sarasota!
This performance by the group called SOLA showcases the work of 6 female dance artists from around the country. Utilizing text, video projection, and pure physicality, the works come together to create a performance that celebrates intergenerational approaches to art.

Join us for the Texas edition of "SOLA, an Evening of Solo Dances" at Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX. Featuring choreography and performance from Amy Chavasse (MI), Tzveta Kassabova (VT), Bliss Kohlmyer (FL), Pamela Pietro (NY), Andee Scott (FL), and Mary Williford-Shade (TX), this performance marks the beginning of the national tour. During the spring of 2015, "SOLA" will travel to the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; Middlebury College, Burlington, VT; and New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.

professor Andee Scott and sponsored by the USF School of Theatre and Dance, the performance showcases the work of choreographers
from around the country, including Amy Chavasse (MI), Tzveta Kassabova (VT),
Pam Pietro (NY), Mary Williford-Shade (TX), and USF’s own Bliss Kohlmyer and
SOLA is the first performance
produced by Dance Linkages, a new project created by USF Faculty member Andee
Scott to build a contemporary network of artists connecting within and across
disciplines to develop and perform new work.
performance will premiere in Tampa, FL in August, then tour to New York,
Michigan, Texas, and Vermont throughout 2014-15.
performance project is an opportunity to bring together high caliber
professional artists to not only produce an evening of stunning dance, but also
to create a new model for touring dance that creatively responds to current
