Marilyn Gaspardo Bertch joined the Theatre Department as visiting faculty in 2008 and presently is an Instructor in Costume Tech and Design. She instructs costume courses in design, history, and technology.
Marilyn brings with her almost twenty three years of costume design and technological experience from her position as Costume Manager at Busch Gardens Tampa. During that time she designed and spearheaded costume productions for hundreds of Anheuser-Busch Theme Parks shows, including Busch Gardens Tampa and Williamsburg; Sea World Orlando, California, and Texas.
Concurrently, Ms. Bertch has been involved with the Fashion Department at the International Academy of Design and Technology instructing courses in Costume Design, Pattern Drafting and Design Workshops since 2000.
Her design background includes two seasons with the Tampa Ballet Company under the direction of Martin and Patricia Freedman and Haydee Gutierrez.
USF can take pride in welcoming back an alumnus of the Theatre Arts Department who graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Technical Theatre concentrating in costume design and technology. Her post graduate work focused on business administration and management.
